Underdogs

Every year there is a state tournament for the best players.  I played for Fords Bearcat for many years, and this was the first time I played for the All-Star team.  After weeks of practice we were ready for the tournament.  We only had five players on the team; but we had hope.  No one believed that we were going to make it to the championship.  The first game, we lost in triple overtime by one point.  That meant if we lost one more game we would be out of the tournament.  We wanted to prove to everyone that we could make it to the championship, and we did.  Each game, we played our hearts out, and it payed off.  Before we knew it we were in the finals.  We played our hardest in that game; but we fell short.  Out of all the teams that played we came in second in the state.
In the NBA there is always an All-Star game.  Every year the NBA gathers the best players for that year and puts them on two different teams.  They divided the teams by regions (Eastern and Western).  After the game the player that played the hardest gets an MVP award.  To sum it all up, it is an honor to play for the All-Star team

Star Players of The NBA

Kobe Bryant
There are many players in the NBA; but there are only a few that are the best of the best. In this post I will tell you some of the greatest players in the league. The first great player is The Black Mamba, A.K.A  Kobe Bryant!!! The position he plays is shooting guard. He is one of the best players that ever played that position. Here are some stats of Kobe Bryant: he has played 1021 games, he played 36.6 minutes each game, his field goal percentage was 0.455, his rebounds per game was 6, his steals per game was 1.4, and his blocks were 0.7 per game.
Rajon Rondo
Another all-star player is point guard Rajon Rondo. He plays for the Boston Celtics. When he was first drafted to the NBA he wasn't the best player; but now he is one of the greatest point guards.  Rondo has one of the greatest crossovers ever.  Here are some stats of Rajon Rondo: he averages 15.8 points per game,5.60 rebounds per game, and 9.3 assists per game.
Dwight Howard
The last player I am going to talk about is Dwight Howard. He is one of the biggest men on the court. Players tremble when they go one on one against him. He is an all-star player. He plays for the Orlando Magic, and he is there starting center. Here are some stats: he averages 18.1 points per game, 11.10 rebounds per game, and 2.1 blocks per game.

Game Heard Around The World!!!

Hello, as you know I play basketball a lot.  Out of all the games I have played in I had one game that changed my whole life.  My team (Golden Knights) were losing eight to nothing in the first quarter.  As soon as I got my hands on the ball I sped down the court with one thing on my mind "Get your team some points."  In about 10 seconds I scored.  I was getting very pumped up.  The very next play I did the same thing, and  scored because the defense was not paying attention.  In less then a minute I gave my team four points!  Play after play my team and I were scoring, and building a lead against Saint Francis.  As we reached the last few seconds of the game I manged to score ten points, three steals and two rebounds in a thirty-two twenty-eight win against Saint Francis!!!!! Please comment and tell me other things i should write about. Also if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Sitting Courtside

Hello my name is Nick and my passion is basketball.  Basketball is my favorite sport of all time.  In this post I will tell you all about my favorite team.  I love the Las Angeles Lakers!!  They are one of the best teams ever because their team has a lot of great players.  About every position in the game, the Lakers have a great player for it.  For point guard they have all-star Derek Fisher, Small Forward all-star Lamar Odom, Power Forward Ron Artest, and Centers Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.  Last but not least my favorite player has six championship titles and more than two MVP awards.  He plays Shooting Guard and his name is Kobe Bryant!!!  Kobe is a great player because he cares more about the name on the front of his jersey than the back.  He is a great offensive and defensive player.  Kobe was not the only great player that helped take the Lakers to the championships he was followed by his amazing teammates, and staff members.  GO LAKERS!!!!!!
Please comment and tell me your favorite basketball player.
