Super Strong Slithering Snakes!!!!!

One of the most fascinating creatures that has ever lived on this planet are snakes.  Snakes are so interesting because some of them can be as long as a school bus or as small as a slice of grass.  Some can be as harmless a great white shark or as gentle as a little puppy.  In this blog I will tell you about some of the most fascinating snakes and some facts.
There are around 3000 snake species in the world, and about 375 of these are venomous. From enormous ones like the python, which can swallow animals as large as a deer whole, to snakes that are just a few inches long, snakes can be found in all types of habitats. While some climb trees, others live underground, and still others are found in the waters of lakes and even seas. The paradise tree-snake of South-east Asia can 'fly' through the air by flattening its body into an s-shaped ribbon. The venom of the king cobra, the world's largest poisonous snake, is strong enough to kill an elephant. Australia's inland taipan snake is said to possess the strongest venom of any land snake. Fortunately, it seeks unpopulated areas and rarely bites people. The fastest moving land snake is the Black Mamba, which can move up to 7 miles per hour.  The Australian Brown Snake's venom is so powerful that only 1/14,000th of on ounce is needed to kill a human being.  To get more interesting facts about snakes check out these websites:  http://www.funshun.com/amazing-facts/snakes-animal-facts.html   http://www.antiguanracer.org/html/racer/snakef.htm and http://www.buzzle.com/articles/facts-about-snakes.html
