Underdogs

Every year there is a state tournament for the best players.  I played for Fords Bearcat for many years, and this was the first time I played for the All-Star team.  After weeks of practice we were ready for the tournament.  We only had five players on the team; but we had hope.  No one believed that we were going to make it to the championship.  The first game, we lost in triple overtime by one point.  That meant if we lost one more game we would be out of the tournament.  We wanted to prove to everyone that we could make it to the championship, and we did.  Each game, we played our hearts out, and it payed off.  Before we knew it we were in the finals.  We played our hardest in that game; but we fell short.  Out of all the teams that played we came in second in the state.
In the NBA there is always an All-Star game.  Every year the NBA gathers the best players for that year and puts them on two different teams.  They divided the teams by regions (Eastern and Western).  After the game the player that played the hardest gets an MVP award.  To sum it all up, it is an honor to play for the All-Star team
